FAQ

Common Questions

How do I begin storing assets with Atlas Assurance Deposit?
The process begins with a confidential consultation — either by telephone or in person at our Glasgow facility. We will discuss your assets, documentation, insurance requirements, and preferred storage arrangements. There is no obligation and no charge for the initial consultation.
What types of assets do you accept?
We accept LBMA-certified gold and silver bullion, GIA and IGI certified gemstones, investment-grade precious metals (platinum, palladium, rhodium), and high-value estate and probate assets. If you have an asset you would like to discuss that falls outside these categories, please contact us and we will advise whether we can accommodate it.
How is my insurance arranged?
All assets held at our facility are covered under our all-risk insurance policy arranged through Lloyd's of London. Cover activates from the moment of receipt and remains in place until your assets are returned. The insured value is the independently appraised market value at the time of intake, updated on your request or at each annual review.
Can I access my assets whenever I need to?
Physical access to the vault is available Monday to Friday during business hours, strictly by prior appointment. Your relationship manager can arrange this with typically 24–48 hours notice. Digital access to your consignment records, documentation, and insurance certificates is available 24/7 through the secure client portal.
Do you offer services to solicitors and estate practitioners?
Yes. We have a dedicated estate and probate service designed specifically for solicitors, executors, and estate trustees. We provide court-admissible valuation reports, secure interim custody during probate proceedings, and carefully managed beneficiary transfer protocols. Please contact our legal liaison team directly to discuss your instruction.
